Rene Requiestas was one of the popular Filipino comedians of the late 1980s up to the early 1990s before his death. He was known for his funny roles with Joey de Leon. Some of his notable characters are Cheetae, Pido, James Dacuycoy and Michael. His last film appearance was "Dee Pee Pee: Return to Draft as John Gong".
